AZL 64425 ATSF Gold Bonnet ALCO PA1 #53

The “Gold Bonnet” was part of a promotional train painted up for General Electric. In February of 1960, one PA along with a baggage car and three lounge cars were painted gold for GEs "Golden Values" promotion campaign in Southern California. The train ran between Los Angeles, Pasadena, San Bernardino, Fullerton and San Diego. Then the locomotive and the four cars were returned to their normal paint schemes.

The AZL ALCO PAs feature prototype specific details, 7mm can motor, dual flywheels, directional controlled LED lighting, six-axle trucks with blind middle axle (no flange), blackened metal wheels, traction tires, optional snow plow, optional front coupler cover and are DCC ready. Note, the optional plow and coupler cover are located under the box insert.
